]]> Admiration Charmed I’m Sure (Valri’) obtained her UKC Grand Championship status and is now holding steady at #2 UKC Standard Poodle in the world. Her sister, Admiration Come Fly with Me (Mimi) just took Breed (Best Standard Poodle) in a recent UKC dog show over 11 other females.

The United Kennel Club (UKC) classifies the Standard Poodle in their Gun Dog group. Showing a Poodle at UKC shows differs from showing a Poodle in AKC shows in that Poodles don’t have to have the “fancy hair cut”, known as a Continental, and one cannot be a professional Handler. UKC recognizes many unusual breeds that are not recognized by the AKC. Shows are lots of fun and is a good family activity to get involved in.
